Season Awards
The Lady Herd Awards Dinner held Wednesday evening (2/29/12). The evening started with dinner followed by the introductions of the players for the both teams. Coaches for each team presented the following awards.
Junior Varsity Team Awards:
Coach's Award: Naomi Alexander

Most Improved Player: Kelsey Gates
Lady Herd Hustle Award: Amani Griffin
JV Team
Varsity Team Awards:
Most Valuable Player: Carlee Gray
Most Improved Player: Madison Albiani
Coach's Award: Nicole Curto
Lady Herd Hustle Award: Lisa Kakutani
In addition to the above Varsity awards, it was announced that Carlee Gray and Amy Schuman were selected by the League coachs for 1st Team All League honors. Tierra Leisure received All League Honorable Mention.

Elk Grove High School, with an enrollment of approximately 2000 students, is a Division II school and competes in the Delta Valley Conference. EGHS is part of the Elk Grove Unified School District and is located in the city of Elk Grove, CA. Elk Grove is about 12 miles south of Sacramento, CA.
At Elk Grove High School, we strive to be a successful team and family. The core values of Lady Herd Basketball players are: teamwork, family, dedication, desire, sacrifice, heart, hustle, attitude, aptitude, and discipline. Lady Herd players are leaders on campus and the standard of the student-athlete. Commitment to the high school motivates the coaching staff to work hard to assist and encourage high classroom achievement and on-court excellence.
We consistently score one of the highest team GPAs in the district and field competitive teams. The players, coaches, and support staff desire to be the best and produce a
