Season Awards
The Lady Herd Booster Club sponsored the Awards Dinner held Wednesday evening (3/10/10). The evening started with dinner followed by the introductions of the players for each of the two Lady Herd teams. Coaches for each team presented the following awards.
Junior Varsity Team Awards:
Most Valuable Player: Amy Schuman
Most Improved Player: Emma Spivey
Lady Herd Hustle Award: Amiee Munar
Varsity Team Awards:
Most Valuable Player: Sam Esperanza
Best Teammate: Laura Bell
Best Defensive Player: Lauren Chetner
Most Improved: Jazmine Alexander
Lady Herd Hustle Award: Jordan Brenner
Congratulations to all of the players and coaches for an exciting season. Good luck to the seniors in whatever their futures hold.
Open Gym
Girls interested in working on their basketball skills are invited to participate in open gym at the high school on the following dates: April 8, 15, 22, & 29, and May 7, 14, & 20. The gym will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Elk Grove High School, with an enrollment of approximately 2000 students, is a Division II school and competes in the Delta Valley Conference. EGHS is part of the Elk Grove Unified School District and is located in the city of Elk Grove, CA. Elk Grove is about 12 miles south of Sacramento, CA.
At Elk Grove High School, we strive to be a successful team and family. The core values of Lady Herd Basketball players are: teamwork, family, dedication, desire, sacrifice, heart, hustle, attitude, aptitude, and discipline. Lady Herd players are leaders on campus and the standard of the student-athlete. Commitment to the high school motivates the coaching staff to work hard to assist and encourage high classroom achievement and on-court excellence.
We consistently score one of the highest team GPAs in the district and field competitive teams. The players, coaches, and support staff desire to be the best and produce a
