Summer Basketball Schedule
"Teams are made during the season; players are made in the off-season."
The 2009 Summer Basketball season at Elk Grove High School is an important time for players and coaches to develop skills and abilities. It is a chance for players to make a positive step towards a place on the Varsity, Junior Varsity, or Freshman team.
This year's summer season began Monday, June 8th and will be completed July 12th. If you have questions about the summer program, please email Amanda Buck at AFitzger@egusd.net.

Elk Grove High School, with an enrollment of approximately 2000 students, is a Division II school and competes in the Delta Valley Conference. EGHS is part of the Elk Grove Unified School District and is located in the city of Elk Grove, CA. Elk Grove is about 12 miles south of Sacramento, CA.
At Elk Grove High School, we strive to be a successful team and family. The core values of Lady Herd Basketball players are: teamwork, family, dedication, desire, sacrifice, heart, hustle, attitude, aptitude, and discipline. Lady Herd players are leaders on campus and the standard of the student-athlete. Commitment to the high school motivates the coaching staff to work hard to assist and encourage high classroom achievement and on-court excellence.
We consistently score one of the highest team GPAs in the district and field competitive teams. The players, coaches, and support staff desire to be the best and produce a
