Freshman Head Coach

Vanessa Davis joins the Lady Herd coaching staff this year as the Freshman Coach. This is Vanessa's first year at Elk Grove High School teaching English and History. She has been teaching multiple subjects for 18 years.

Vanessa coached varsity basketball, softball and volleyball at Sacramento High School for 5 years. She coached basketball, softball, and yes, football at Keystone High School. She served as pitching coach at UC San Diego for 3 year.

Coach Davis played basketball, softball and track at the University of Southern California and then at UC San Diego, earning All-American honors as pitcher/catcher. Vanessa also played softball and football professionally. She was the starting quarterback for several years with the Sacramento Sirens professional football team.
