Vanessa Irving, a 2003 Elk Grove graduate, returns to the Lady Herd basketball program as an assistant varsity coach. Vanessa played two years of Lady Herd basketball at the varsity level during the 2001-02 and 2002-03 seasons. Following her graduation from Elk Grove, Vanessa attended Bethany University in Santa Cruz, CA where she played basketball for four years for the Bruins. She graduated from Bethany University in 2007.
